World Book Day
2017 was the 20th year of World Book Day. To celebrate we invited every child to bring their teddy bear or soft toy to school to visit the library. Each class in turn visited the library to enjoy some stories around our theme 'Bears in Books'. We read stories including: Paddington, Otto the Book Bear, Peace at Last, The Everywhere Bear, Mr Gum and the Dancing Bear and Northern Lights. The children then returned to class with an activity to complete along the theme of the story they had listened to.
One child from each class was chosen to win a prize from the activities and we also held a raffle for every child that had brought in a bear or soft toy.
